What is the cost of having a realtor representing a buyer?

As a buyer it cost absolutely nothing to acquire representation, is the seller who pays the commissions.

The cost varies depending on the negotiations you establish with your realtor. There are market standards that are set and brokers policies put in place to maintain those standards.

  1. If you have a clear idea of your credit situation, steady employment for the past 2 years and some savings, you should contact a realtor 60-90 days before the purchase.
  2. If you know that you need some work on your credit and have no savings, you should contact a realtor 4-6 months prior the purchase.

P = PRINCIPAL – Payment to the loan amount balance.

I = INTEREST – The amount the bank charges you for lending you the money.

T = TAXES – Property tax.
